NOTE: Don has changed the way he educates billers, managers, physicians and coders. Instead of jumping from one plane to another and living in hotel after hotel, he is using the internet and phone conferences much more often. Just about the only seminars he is teaching in person are those to the state and national Osteopathic conventions, including the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, American Academy of Osteopathy and state Osteopathic conventions. He also teaches at several D.O. schools and residency hospitals as the one thing that students need more than any other is help in the business aspect of medicine.
Instead of running all over - he and his partner, Keith LaBonte (out of Marietta, Georgia) gives 60 to 90 minute phone conferences with primary care offices, almost every day. We typically schedule 5 to 7 of these a week and there is no charge for them. To qualify for these free calls, the physician, office manager and billing manager needs to be on the call and we'll spend an hour or longer asking questions about the practice before making recommendations. Many times, we may end up recommending a free diagnostic analysis or a free clinical lab analysis or sometimes we recommend a fee, code, charge, collection analysis (which is not free - but does come with a $50K a year increase guarantee). If you are interested in this - please let us know and we'll either schedule one with your office or we'll send you a dozen or two references so that you can talk to other office managers or physicians where we've done this and helped them increase their annual net income by $200,000.00, $400,000.00 or even $600,000.00 (for one or two doctor practices).
